Holy Motors, you got to see this one. My only complaint is that the trailer is misleading. I zipped downtown to catch it after happy hour and was expecting a more exuberant production (because of the trailer). Leaving the theatre all I could think is that it was not what I was expecting. Misled or not it made me think and that is worth a trip to the movies no matter who you are. Though ambiguous, the film explores themes of duty, obligation, performance and obsession; all of which I find very revelant in todays rapid world.
Pay special attention to Eva Mendes’ nearly mute role as the caricature supermodel who takes professionalism to a hysterical new level. Thanks Leos Carax!
